Q&A: How do you delete corrupt files in the Web Explorer temporary folder?

Question by Clancy T: How do you delete corrupt files in the World wide web Explorer temporary folder?
I employed Window Washer to delete the corrupted temp files, but it locks up the computer. I employed the tools on IE and they won’t get rid of the corrupt files. I am the administrator I’ve set the search to show all hidden and sys files in the temp folder, but it will not show all of the files. Any tips?

begin up in safe mode (F8)
go into the following folders and delete all the contents such as folders in there

open windows explorer

kill anything in them, spare NONE !

C:Documents and Settingsuser_nameLocal SettingsTemp*.*
- delete all files and folders in this directory !

C:Documents and Settingsuser_nameLocal SettingsTemporary Net Files*.*
- delete all files and folders in this directory !
—————–
look for suspicious programs or one thing dont appear proper in right here
c:program files*.*
- then delete that specific file/s and/or folders in this directory !

C:windowstemp*.*
- scan and view anything that looks odd (maybe delete)

and then empty RECYCLE BIN

Following that scan for virus and spyware if u have the system/s.

Then restart in regular startup and see if this continues. If it does then I strongly and urgently request you to reinstall your Operating Program

Then when u get connected to the net

http://firefox.com and use this instead of World wide web Explorer
